PART 3 – THE BALLPOINT PENS
MORE THAN JUST A PEN
1: NOT BEING ABLE TO USE A RUBBER
This mean that you concentration has to be higher. This is great therapy as your focus will at an all time high
2: YOU DON’T NEED TO SHARPEN YOUR PEN
This is very time efficient and great for sketch on the go. You don’t need to take so many things with you. Like the rubber, sharpener etc.
3: BEING ABLE TO CREATE MULTIPLE TONE
Again you don’t need to get a pack of pencils to create light to dark. You can now do it with this simple tool.
4: LOSE THE FEAR OF MAKING MISTAKES
When you realise that mistakes are a part of the journey and that you are only sketch, the fear of making a mistake start to fade away the more you do it. This is something that has really made me a better freehand artist.
5: THE BALLPOINT PEN DOES NOT SMUDGE
I feel like this is one of the best things about the ballpoint pen. Not having to worry about smudging and getting ink all over your work.
MORE THAN JUST A PEN
So I had to draw Harry KANE for an awesome topps project using ballpoint pens. However being a Arsenal fan, it was not an easy task to complete.
Drawing a spurs player is something I really don’t like doing, but it’s my job and a man gotta get payed. If only Arsenal finished last season right and not lose so many games at the end of the season. Maybe! just maybe! we would be in the UEFA Champions league….. But NO…..We suck! Gunners for life
Anyway I hope all you spurs fans enjoy this drawing and share it all over the Internet. I have linked the video below.

This is a question that came to me the other day whilst finishing of a drawing. Is our art ever complete?
or is it just us as the artist being
🔹Satisfied
🔹Bored
🔹Impatient
🔹Too many hours
🔹Lose interest
That is all I can think of at this moment in time. I am sure there are more reasons. But ultimately I believe our art is NEVER COMPLETE
Why do I say this?
Well for the reasons above and that with art, you can always add that extra stroke, layer, hair, eye lash, dot etc. You get what I mean. There is always more details to be added.
But then is bring the question of over doing it. Which is a whole other topic. I would love to know your thoughts on this topic and if you think there such a thing as complete art.

So sketch Sunday is something I did in the past and people really found them helpful and educational. However I stopped…WHY? Honestly the videos were not doing so great.
Now that I do think about I did not give sketch Sunday enough time to grow and become something with potential. So that is why I have decided to bring it back and really see where it can go. I really want to spread the ballpoint pen game across the internet and make it a thing to sketch all the time. it is a KEY factor to becoming a BETTER artist.
The video below is the first of many of the new sketch Sunday journey. HOW TO DRAWING LEVI from Attack on TITAN. I hope you all join me on this new adventure of sketch Sunday.
Also if you nwant a chance to be featured on my next sketch Sunday video all you have to do is sketch this image and email me at dmsketchsunday@gmail.com Thank you for reading this post.
