ARTEZA TWIMARKERS put to the TEST – REVIEW

So when it comes to getting new art supplies from the amazing people over at Arteza, I always like to try different mediums that are not related to ballpoint pens.

SO, This time I decided to go with the twimarkers, why did I choose them? Well, let’s just say colors and more colors. I got drawn in by all the amazing colors not knowing what I was going to draw with them or how I was even going to go about using them.

But that is the beauty of it, I have to get creative and do some deep thinking. Once the deep thinking was done I decided to go and draw an IGUANA, which up until it got recommended to me I had never of such an animal before. Then I saw it and I was amazed and just had to draw it.

I give the markers a solid 8/10 why not 10? because for me nothing is 10/10 that is too good to be true. They blended very well. The markers didn’t leave any hash streaks when coloring. Ink flow was awesome and comfortable to hold. If you are interested in getting your hand on some of them pend use this link https://bit.ly/3baE3bd

Drawing Raheem Sterling using Ballpoint Pens

This drawing is part of an awesome Topps project. I want to give you guys a couple of tips when it comes to drawing portraits using ballpoint pens.

TIP 1: Work in light layers and build up the drawing slowly. You want the skin to look realistic and the only way that will happen is if you’re patient and take it a layer at a time.

TIP 2: You want the hair and skin to match. a lot of drawing you can see the hair and look like they don’t belong together. The way I go about this is, think about your face. what do we all have under our hair? skin right! So when it comes to a drawing why not apply the skin tone colours first and then apply the hair on top, it only makes sense. but a lot of people don’t do this.

TIP 3: When it comes to the teeth or white spaces in general, let the paper do its job. don’t overthink it or overdo it. Use the tool you have around you, in this case, that is the paper. simple tip, but effective.

That’s all I have for you guys, hopefully, you will find these tips helpful and apply them to your drawings. There is also a giveaway happening in the video so make sure to watch it until the ned.

MUST HAVE Ballpoint Pens To Create Awesome Art

In the video below I talk to you guys about my favourite ballpoint pens to create awesome looking art. I will show you my top 5 brand of ballpoint pens, starting with my least favourite brand down to my all time favourite brand of pen.  I hope you guys find the video helpful, I have also linked all the brand of pens in the video description.

I will also like to add that there are also a lot more other brands of ballpoint pens such as pilot, inkjoy, zebra etc. I have used pilot and inkjoy before, pilot I must say is a great brand but I have not used them enough to judge. Inkjoy I think leans more towards the roller ball side, however the quality is great.  I would love to hear your thought on these ballpoint pen and what your favourite brand are.

Drawing the EXTREMELY RARE Galaxy Fortnite Skin

So my subscribers on YouTube decided to really challenge me this time. To celebrate Android releasing fortnite on all their devices, they came out with this amazing space – themed fortnite skin, GALAXY!

When I first looked up Galaxy on google, because the only galaxy I know is the chocolate bar, I was amazed by all the stunning colours. However, by the time my brain even register the difficulty it would take to create this drawing, I was just trying figure out the colours I was going to use and how I was going to go about making this look as epic as possible.

Once I figured out the colours, it was go time.

So I started off by applying masking fluid to the areas that I want left white, that way it would make easier for me to add colours around these areas without having to focus on the white space.

Stage two was adding the colours using my Arteza real brush pens. Which I must say I am really enjoying at the moment. Once the colours where all blended together and dry it was time for stage three.

Stage three was removing all the masking fluid so you could see the magic of the white popping out at you. Why has it taking me so long to buy masking fluid, I am acting like I never used it in high school, college, wait even at university. But, I am happy I have it now.

Stage four was adding the finer details to make it look AWESOME! This is when I brought in the ballpoint pens. Recently I have been experimenting with materials that  work well with ballpoint pens. Most of the materials that have worked well so far have all been water based. After the finer details were added, it was time to go in for the kill.

The fifth and final stage was adding black to the background, which literally change the whole drawing. The black really made the Galaxy fortnite skin pop and stand out. Before adding in the black I used a paint brush to create little dots all over with masking fluid to create the stars effect. Once the masking fluid dried, I then applied dark grey and black to the background. Drawing Complete!
